U10 Blaze Boys and Girls finish 3rd at National Challenge

It was a great day for Blaze U10 Boys and Girls at The West Lothian Wolves National Challenge on the 21st of May 2019.

Both teams finished in 3rd place at the tournament.

The boys saw off some great competition in Reign and Inverness City to qualify for the golden group. In the golden group they faced off against Falkirk Fury and West Lothian Wolves, they came up just short in the results and a massive credit to both Fury and Wolves as they are doing a great job at working on the skills of their U10s. We’re also delighted with our boys effort and are really happy they had such a great day out as a team it was a great experience.

The girls were very successful and managed to advance to the semi-final before a close game with Inverness City. The girls played with tremendous energy and enthusiasm throughout the whole day. Fuelled by the traditional Blaze girls food circle (between games they share snacks) they really came together as a team and the tournament served as a very positive experience on why we love team sports, and they progressed each game they played. By the end games some of the passing and movement was brilliant and we’re delighted they had such a great day.

A massive thank you to Mark Stevenson and West Lothian Wolves for running another great day out for our teams and thank you to the other teams who came along!
