Tall Guys – When Real Madrid played Boroughmuir – Article from the Scottish Review

Jack Davidson’s article about the club and the background to the Boroughmuir v Real Madrid games in 1967 in the first round of the European Cup is available on the Scottish Review website at this link. Quite a contrast between playing in a 7000 capacity venue in Madrid to back home where the Army Scottish Command laying a wooden floor on top of the ice at Murrayfield Ice Rink! The club became the first British club to record a win in the European competition, beating Reykjavik. Great to hear that some of the players were playing in the Masters competition in Manchester this year.
